Foden Transmissions Parts
Foden Trucks was a British Truck and bus manufacturing company with origins in Cheshire. PACCAR acquired the company in 1980, and ceased to use the brand name in 2006. H L Smith offer remanufactured transmissions parts for the full range of Foden vehicles.
Foden Differential
As for some years Foden didn’t produce their own drivehead, they initially fitted Eaton, the most common being the Eaton DSDZ401P and RSDZ401P on the 6 and 8 Wheelers. Later Foden vehicles were fitted with Rockwell 160, 180 and 177 series and on the multi-drive, the Rockwell 153 tandem units were used. Our Differential workshops are fitted out with the latest equipment ensuring all our differentials are built to exacting standards and specifications.
Foden Power Steering
Power steering has been amongst our product range for a number of years where we offer all popular ZF and TRW steering boxes that are fitted throughout the entire Foden series of vehicles. Being a safety critical product, our Power Steering department is equipped with the latest dyno test facility allowing us to fully test all units to O.E specification ensuring trouble free installation and safe operation.
Foden Propshaft
To complete the range of drivetrain equipment we stock all makes of Propshafts to suit all Foden Commercial vehicles and to complement this we hold all universal joints and centre support bearings. Our Propshaft department is fully equipped with auto weld and balancing machines ensuring all units give trouble free service.
